Day 1
Monday 6th April
Group arrival and check in at the iconic hotel Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu. The hotel overlooks the iconic scramble crossing right in the heart of Tokyo’s Shibuya district.
Group Lunch at Megutama, Iconic photography book cafe/restaurant followed by an afternoon walk through the streets of Nakameguro and the cherry blossom lined Segura river.

Day 2
Tuesday 7th April
Morning – Explore the surrounding streets of Shibuya
Exploring parks and Spring colours.
Group dinner in Shibuya followed by evening drinks in the Shinjuku Golden Gai area. Visit to the famous Photographer’s Bar Sendai.
Golden Gai consists of six tiny alleys – much too narrow to get even a small car down – lined by almost two hundred tiny bars. Each building is only a few feet wide and built almost touching the one next door. Many have a steep set of stairs leading to a separate establishment, or a tiny flat, upstairs. The bars advertise themselves with an eclectic mix of artwork and enigmatic logos adding to their mystique, and making the passer-by wonder what’s to be found inside.
Day 3
Wednesday 8th April
Morning – Asakusa area – Senso Ji Temple, Asakusa amusement park and surrounding streets
Asakusa retains the vibe of an older Tokyo, with traditional craft shops and street-food stalls along Nakamise Street near the ancient Sensō-ji temple. Mid-19th-century Hanayashiki amusement park has thrill rides and cafes, while riverside Kuritsu Sumida Park hosts regular festivals and firework displays. Casual izakaya bars dot the neighbourhood, along with yakitori restaurants serving grilled meat skewers and beer.

Thursday 9th April
Morning – travel to Kyoto via bullet train
Views of Mount Fuji out the window.
Hotel check-in at the Hotel Resol Kyoto Kawaramachi Santo Hotel and optional group editing session at hotel.

Friday 10th April
Morning – Shooting around the streets of Kyoto
Afternoon – Private portrait session with traditional Maiko, followed by dusk shooting around the enchanting Gion area streets. Known as the historical Geisha district this part of Tokyo comes to life after dark. Gion is Kyoto’s geisha district.

Saturday 11th April
Free morning to explore the streets of Kyoto
Group lunch.
Planned artisan shoot.

Morning - Breakfast followed by bullet train back to Tokyo
Hotel check-in at the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu
Afternoon - Yoyogi Park – Rockabilly dancers. Explore the little streets of the bustling Harajuku area

Day 8
Monday 13th April
Morning – Free time.
Group Lunch.
Exploring city streets and parks.
Group Dinner followed by drinks at the iconic Golden Gai bar area in Shinjuku
Day 9
Tuesday 14th April
Ginza area and Leica store visit
Morning – Editing session of work at Leica Store, Ginza
Lunch onwards – free time
Evening – Group dinner at Park Hyatt Hotel’s New York Grill. The restaurant and bar with it’s unparalleled views of the Tokyo skyline made famous by the famous Bill Murray film Lost In Translation, the group will enjoy a 5-course set menu and drinks.
