20.02.27 SYDNEY - Contrast & Chaos: Street Photography Weekend with Alan Schaller

Spend a weekend on the street with one of the world's leading black-and-white photographers. London-based photographer and founder of Irys as well as the co-founder of the Street Photography International Collective, Alan Schaller is known for his high-contrast, geometric images that uncover surreal, fleeting moments in the everyday rhythm of city life.

Leica Akademie Australia is bringing Alan to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth for an intensive two-day program built around real shooting time in the city. Across each weekend, participants will head out into the streets in small groups, work through live shooting sessions with Alan alongside them, and unpack the results each evening through one-on-one feedback and group image reviews. Alan will share the thinking behind his process, how he reads light, moves through a scene, and trusts instinct over planning and help participants apply that same approach to their own work.

Open to photographers of all levels and any camera system, this is a rare opportunity to spend concentrated time with a master of contemporary street photography, right here in the Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
