Morning Session: A Journey Through Time and Images.

Steve McCurry will share the stories behind his most compelling photographs, offering unique insights into:

• The art of gaining trust and access in challenging environments.
• Technical and compositional choices that define his signature style.
• The evolution of his career from his early days in India to his current work.
• Behind-the-scenes accounts of his most famous assignments.
  

Afternoon Session: The McCurry Method. 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Experience a hands-on portraiture masterclass where Steve will:

• Demonstrate his approach to natural light portraiture.
• Share his techniques for connecting with subjects.
• Guide participants through the nuances of environmental portraiture.
• Provide real-time feedback on participant work.
• Reveal his post-shooting workflow and image selection process.

Evening: Intimate Dinner & Discussion. 07:00pm - 09:00pm

The day concludes with an exclusive inclusive dinner at Restaurant Huburt where participants will have the opportunity to:

• Engage with informal conversation with Steve in a relaxed setting.

Essential Equipment

• Camera: Digital SLR or mirrorless body.
• Lenses: One or more lenses covering the range between 17mm and 50mm (full frame equivalent)
• Batteries: At least two fully charged camera batteries.
• Battery charger.
• Memory cards: Multiple high-speed cards with sufficient storage capacity.

Recommended Additional items

• Backup camera body (if available).
• A versatile zoom lens (eg. 24-70mm) for flexability.
• A fast prime lens (eg. 28/35mm f1/8 or 50mm f1/8) for low light situations.
• Rain cover or weatherproof bag for your camera.
• Portable hard drive or laptop for backing up images.
• Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and walking shoes.
• Smartphone with WhatsApp installed for group communication.

• Lightweight tripod or monopod for long exposure shots.

Please note: While a wide range of equipment can be useful, remember that street photography often benefits from a minimal approach. Focus on bringing gear that you're comfortable with and that won't weigh you down during long days of shooting.
