01.02.25 SYDNEY - Photo Fundamentals with Bill Green

Are you new to photography? Or you’d like a refresher on the fundamentals of photography. This one-day workshop will help you get the most out of your camera. You will discover how the mastering of the controls of your camera is the key to unlocking creative freedom in your photography, moving you from taking “point-and-shoot” snapshots to making images that express your artistic vision.
 
We will cover the basics of understanding exposure, depth of field, shutter speeds, histogram, white balance and basic composition techniques to help your images pop. We will look for inspiration from photographs by famous Leica photographers and the outstanding work of fellow photography enthusiasts in the LFI Gallery. But it won’t be all theoretical, we will head out with our cameras for some hands-on photography!
 
No previous photography experience is required, and all brands of cameras are welcome. If you are using a non-Leica camera, please have your camera manual with you or have a basic understanding of how to set your ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance before attending the workshop. If you own a Leica, pop into the store before the workshop if you have any questions about your Leica camera’s operation.
 
This workshop is a great entry to more advanced workshops offered by Leica Akademie throughout the year.
