Leica Akademie Australia is excited to announce another Sydney street photography weekend workshop with renowned street photographer Jesse Marlow. This workshop, designed for photographers of all skill levels, will offer a mix of classroom sessions and practical shooting experiences aimed at enhancing participants' photography skills. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best in the field and refine your street photography techniques.

Date: Saturday 12th October - Sunday 13th October.

Location: Sydney, NSW

Duration: 2 days

Level: Suitable for all levels of photography enthusiasts

Equipment: Bring your camera and laptop/iPad for editing.

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday 12th October 2024, 10.00am – 6.00pm
The workshop will commence at the Leica Store and Gallery with a short presentation by Jesse showing his work and discussing his approach to street photography. Tips on how to overcome potential fears of shooting in public, confidence, body language and expectations. After lunch (included) the small group will head out into the surrounding areas to ‘pound the streets’ looking for interesting and quirky images. Jesse will spend time with each guest throughout the day, helping you refine your craft and boost your confidence on the street.
 

Day 2: Sunday 13th October 2024, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Day 2 will include a morning session of shooting with Jesse exploring the colour, light and people in and around the streets followed by lunch (included). In the afternoon, there will be a group editing session back in the classroom with comments and critique. Participants should bring their own laptop for editing.

A group lunch is provided on both days of the workshop.

Loan Equipment

Leica Cameras can be provided if you would like to try one out. If you have a particular Leica lens or camera you would like to use, please contact our administration team (akademie.lcau@leica-camera.com). Please note: we cannot guarantee any particular item but we will do our best.
