15 OCTOBER – DAY ONE

Arrival Day. Today we board the Crystal Endeavor and enjoy a sunset departure out of Benoa Harbour as we head for our first destination.

16 OCTOBER – DAY TWO

Sumbawa Island

Famously a haven for snorkelers and divers with its crystalline waters filled with curiosities and life, Sumbawa is a lesser known – but no less touted – hotspot for surfers. Those who can tear their attention from the spectacular sea are rewarded with dramatic vistas inland, dominated primarily by still-active volcano Mount Tambora. Terraced rice fields, secluded bays and very little modern-day traffic create a nature-driven atmosphere that will dazzle visitors.

17 OCTOBER – DAY THREE

Komodo Island

Ringed by steep hillsides that fluctuate from jade green to rust red as the seasons shift, Komodo Island is a land of curious colors… and dragons. The largest island within the Komodo National Park, Komodo sports sandy beaches painted pink by the red coral that thrives on the reefs and locals who relish welcoming visitors. Besides the world’s largest lizards, other wild residents include wild boars, deer, water buffalo, cockatoos and macaques.

18 OCTOBER – DAY FOUR

Larantuka

Situated at the base of the sky-high 5,000-foot inactive Gunung Ili Mandiri volcano, the Kingdom of Larantuka seems the ideal setting for heavenward pursuits. This traditional Catholic locale was once the epicenter of missionary work in the region, with Cathedral Reinha Rosari paying homage to ministries past. Today’s rustic village is laidback and friendly and the perfect starting point for any adventure.

19 OCTOBER – DAY FIVE

Kalabahi

Every shade of blue is dramatically displayed on the canvas of Maimol Beach, where glass stones and coral pieces coat the shores and fresh coconut refreshes body and soul. Explore the vibrant world beneath the sea, then venture to the village and the Seribu Moko Museum for an up-close glimpse of the traditional Ikats, ceremonial clothing and bronze drums that permeate the local customs.

20 OCTOBER – DAY SIX

Lucipara

The locals here tend toward the wild side, as green turtles, crested terns and various seabirds favor this nature preserve and its surrounding reefs for their nesting grounds. These four/five atolls in the middle of the Banda Sea set the stage for expeditions of all sorts, from high-energy hikes to high-adrenaline Zodiac quests, and snorkeling along the waterline to deep-sea submersible discoveries.

21 OCTOBER – DAY SEVEN

Banda Neira

Among a volcanic chain of islands in the Banda Archipelago, this beauty is alive with heat and vibrant adventures. Deemed the “Spice Island” for its rare and precious nutmeg and mace, Banda Neira beckons you to its cooler side in the sparkling, sapphire waters that teem with life, and dare you to reach higher on towering peaks covered in aromatic tropical evergreens.

22 – 26 OCTOBER – DAYS SEVEN – ELEVEN

Raja Ampat

In the heart of the Coral Triangle, where some of earth’s richest marine biodiversity exists and thrives, lies the scuba diving heaven of Raja Ampat. So enchanting is the world beneath the warm waters here, that the famed Blue Magic dive site, seven to 30 meters below, holds the world record for the number of species potentially encountered in a single dive.

27 OCTOBER – DAY TWELVE

At Sea

Relax, enjoy the onboard facilities and catch up with some image editing!

28 OCTOBER – DAY THIRTEEN

Thursday Island

One of more than 100 Torres Strait Islands, Thursday Island, aka Waiben, sits at the northern tip of Queensland off the Cape York Peninsula, home to 4,000 residents. The vibe here is decidedly tropical paradise, while the island’s history holds some serious high points, as T.I. (as it’s affectionately known by locals) served as Australia’s defense center during World War II. Wartime remnants remain for visitors to explore, and the colorful reefs beyond the shoreline call to adventurers.

29 OCTOBER – DAY FOURTEEN

Cape York

The northernmost point of the Australian continent lies on the Cape York Peninsula in the state of Queensland. Framed by the Gulf of Carpentaria and the Coral Sea, the peninsula is a vast area of untamed wilderness graced with tropical rainforests, spectacular beaches, savannah woodlands and eucalyptus forests. In this haven for wildlife enthusiasts, you might spot wallabies, kangaroos, crocodiles and rare bird species.

30 OCTOBER – DAY FIFTEEN

Lizard Island

Regarded as a sacred place by the Dingaal Aboriginal people, pristine Lizard Island is nestled on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland. The granite island, graced with powdery white beaches and fringing reefs, is perfect for hiking, swimming and snorkeling. Within its grasslands, acacia woodlands and mangroves can be found its most famous resident, the yellow-spotted monitor. Its waters are a kaleidoscope of marine life, including coral gardens of colorful tropical fish and giant clams.

31 OCTOBER – DAY SIXTEEN

Cairns, Queensland

Sadly, all good things must end… Transfers to the airport to catch your flights home.
